Summer is really flying by! I wanted to get a Get Well With Adele out for July, but I’m really just taking the days as they come, baby, so sporadic publishing it is. I hope you are enjoying the sun and either basking in the heat or hiding safely from it in the AC! I myself have been weaving in and out of town while trying to get quality vitamin D AND rest. 90 seconds.
That’s how long it takes our magical minds to identify an emotion. This insight genuinely changed how I operate on a daily basis. Let me explain:
Say you’ve had an anxiety-inducing encounter. You’ve just had an unexpected conversation that leaves you feeling mad or even frustrated.
Take a deep breath and count down from 90 to zero. Visualize the numbers as you say them.
In the time it takes to get to zero, the emotional trigger you started to experience will flush its way out of your body.
90 seconds is all it takes to either move the f*ck on or get stuck in the emotional loop of anxiety and anger.
