How do YOU perceive YOU when no one is watching?
Who you were in the past, is not who you are now… Or… at least, it doesn’t have to be.
Who you were in the past, is not who you are now…
Or… at least, it doesn’t have to be who you are now.
I’ve noticed how much we all take pride in our identities.
We care a lot about who we want to show up as because of how we might be judged, or perceived, by others.
But… how do YOU perceive YOU when no one is watching?
Does your perception of self and what you’re capable of doing hold you back from accomplishing something you desire?
Maybe you want to quit your job and go the freelance route but you’re worried that you can’t make a living wage on your own.
Maybe you want to make more time for yourself in your busy schedule, but you are afraid to “let someone down” if you reschedule your plans.
Maybe you’ve tried to lose weight countless times but you can’t seem to stick to the plan because of the constant reminder that you’ve “failed” before.
Maybe it’s just impostor syndrome showing up in the most random ways and making you feel like you’re not good at the things you’re freaking phenomenal at.
So you talk yourself out of doing the things that would actually feel extremely valuable to you.
Here’s the thing - you’re getting stuck in the perception that you “can’t” because of who you THINK you are.
This is a limiting belief about yourself and your identity.
Limiting beliefs can come from many things, but often they come from experience - and not always the SAME EXACT EXPERIENCE as right now, but a time that may have triggered a similar emotional response, usually fear-based.
So we tell ourselves we can’t do the things we want to do because it’s not who we are, who we’ve always been, or what we’ve always done.
“The thing I desire so much is good for other people!!! But, not for me. It cannot be done for me.”
Remember that our identity was never meant to be fixed.
It is a work in progress that takes on new shapes as you grow and evolve.
When you notice that you’re getting stuck in limiting beliefs, it may be time to rewire.
And in the rewiring, notice how you might have handled something before and how you’d LIKE to handle it now.
Which way feels more “you” right now, or who you aspire to be?
You can rewire your identity at any point and reprogram those limiting beliefs into beliefs that actually support you in accomplishing your goals.
Change your perception of yourself to be of someone who believes in their full potential, who attracts all they wish to manifest, and who gets shit done in the way only they know how.
Continue on this journey to the future you.
As always, I am here to support you in any capacity.
Mindset Makeover
What is a Mindset Makeover? I’m calling it a radical act of self-care because it’s taking intentional time to release stagnant energy and open yourself up to liberate your belief system & start to reprogram your reality and what’s possible for you. It is 60-minutes chock-full of a mix of mindset discussion, centering breaths, Reiki, and an oracle card pull.
You WILL leave with new and aligned energy.
